The San Mateo-Foster City Education Foundation has embarked on a larger vision for our organization and the students we serve.

Project Inspiration is our 3 year, $5,000,000 initiative intended to set the stage for advancing Academic Leadership, Health & Safety, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math).

We are happy to announce we completed the 3 year initiative with $2.7M raised and 36 partners into a collaborative venture addressing equity and opportunity in our district.

Generous grants, totaling over $2M, from Gilead Sciences are allowing us to address health & safety issues caused by the pandemic as well as continue a three-year academic leadership initiative to strengthen STEM education for almost 10,500 District students.

Through this partnership, the Education Foundation has been able to provide autonomous thermal scanners to all school sites and district facilities, fund a Science Teacher on Special Assignment for 3 years. Our most recent grant provided innovative hands-on STEM tools for our students with LEGO DUPLO, LEGO Technix Lab, and College and Career Exploration (Paxton-Patterson) curriculum for all of our students!
