Can I still get tickets? 

YES - you can still register at Greater Giving. Click on “Get Started” and create your account. A credit card is required for registration, but it will only be charged if you have a winning bid.

Purchasing tickets will benefit the Foundation directly and allow you to register for the Gala. We look forward to seeing you there! After registering, look for an email from Greater Giving with a link to create your account.  If you are a returning bidder, you will be prompted to log in.  If you are new to the event, you will need to create an account.  We hope that you will join us for our silent auction as well, which starts Sunday, October 16 at 8AM and closes at 5PM on October 23rd. We look forward to seeing you there!

Can we invite friends or neighbors who do not have students in the SMFC School District?

YES! The more the merrier! Send them the link to Greater Giving to create their own account.

What should I expect?

Check your inbox for the link you need to join the festivities. Log in at 6:30 p.m. to join the Reception and stay with us for the live auction when the gavel drops at 7:00 p.m. sharp!

 

Our auctioneer is eager to lead us through our live auction, with some amazing items up for grabs and a few special guest appearances. While we won’t be able to see one another, we’ll be connecting via chat and enjoying the evening together.

 

Stay with us at 8:00 p.m. for a short post-Gala celebration! Bask in the appreciation of a job well done — raising vital funds to ensure we can provide Arts opportunities for ALL of our students.

Where do the proceeds go?

Proceeds from Night at the Museum will focus on providing our students with access to the arts. Funds raised will support students taking field trips and provide opportunities for local artists to support our classrooms. Coming together as a community to support our Education Foundation Gala allows all of the students in our District to have equal access to these critical opportunities and offerings. Our dream goal is to raise over $500,000, so our students may continue to thrive and grow.

 

How do I get what I win?

The silent auction closes at 5 pm on Sunday October 23rd and all winning bids will be processed on Monday, October 24th. Look for your confirmation email from Marianne Wallace, one of our Gala Committee members, who will provide further instructions. 

Have bidding questions for the silent auction? Here are some tips:

Browse Packages using the menu:

  • Use the ≡ icon to open the menu for Bids, Favorites, and Categories.

    • Favorites - Use the star ☆ to save Packages for later viewing.

    • Bids - See Packages that you have bid on already.

    • Act Now - Sort Packages quickly by No Bids, Currently Open, and more.

  • Use the magnifying glass 🔍 or scroll down to search for Packages.

Tap on a Package to place a type of bid:

  • Bid - Place a single bid at the next increment.

  • Bid More - Place a Max Bid. The system will bid in your favor until you are outbid or the auction closes.

  • Buy Now - Purchase the Package!

Tips for Preventing Connection Issues

Please try to be somewhere you have a strong internet connection.

 

It is recommended that no one else in the household is doing any heavy internet use during the gala (like gaming, uploading videos, streaming, etc.). Heavy Upload / Download activities of large files, or use of high-bandwidth streaming services such as YouTube or Netflix may affect your connectivity.

 

It may also be a good idea to clear your cache, before joining us. That tends to speed up connections, as well! If you lose connection, simply refresh your browser.
